A suggestion, A little more health out of the vials at the Loot Boxes?

I understand that now. Thanks! I still think it would be nice to get a little more health that far into the demo game. Doesn't seem to be a real good way other than Jack of all Trades and some luck with the glitch deck. haha. Thanks for the input though!

you know what would be funny. if the number on all the Arcana were there values.

originally and currently, that is true for some of them. 

that was originally one of the major downsides of "the star" which used to give free healing.

bug report, on play effects appear not to trigger when opponent plays cards from hand

Hey, are there plans to make a version that's compatible with Linux?

I got to the VIP area with the ??? deck, and I'm happily satisfied

A glitch card turned into a fool at the perfect time to swap my entire deck with the wizards  entire deck. 

But I had The Lovers, Blood Donor, and Credit Card.

I also had birthday card though. when do you think I will win? will I ever win? will I ever lose with all the valentines day cards?

I think The lovers should say "after third use, burn on discard" with a counter for how many times it has been used.

currently have more than 42 one of nothings and birthday card is at 14.

birthday card just turned 15 and I have 49 cards total.

they just glitch green carded their blood donor card. also at one point they glitch rules carded their bust limit to be 20.

new deck idea: 1 memory card, and 9 glitch cards


this could be something similar to black deck in balatro, with the advantage being insignificant (probably) to start, and the downside (the glitch cards) making it very hard, but then later the advantage (the memory card) making it overpowered later on.


if you can think of a more punishing card  (than glitch)then feel free to use that instead.

Probably a deck crammed with 13s and one memory card would work better here, since 13s cripple the deck (13 is a terrible score) but don't shut it down completely (memory card is worth 8.)

Ok, yes. in that case, I think 3-4 thirteens should be sufficient

I know! I refused to fight him unless I have no option or I have a reverse or a business card and I steal that memory card so quick.. If I'm lucky enough.

The game is oddly addictive, and has similarities with bhaggo casino on this site bhaggobd.com/casino (if y'all familiar). I hope they release the full version of this game because i love it so much!

I don't know if the creator reads the comments, but i want to suggest some things that i think will make the game more fun:
-I think there should be a way to reroll the tarot cards using chips cause the tarots are very game changing. A reroll would be crazy cause I had runs that were amazing and then I got tarots like the hermit, the high pristess and the star which, to be honest, are not that good and if you add rerolls you actually need to think if it is worth it to save yours chips to reroll or go to the shops or the counterfeiter
-Another change I think would make the game more fun is making  it so that  you can spend money to buy the other cards that are offered for free after each encounter cause I had some very good options and it broke my heart that i needed  to leave the other cards
-Yet another change should be add is to change see in the future cards, because those cards are pretty underwhelming, like for exemple I hit on a ten and the hall pass comes that says that something like a 6 is next, so then my options are to either stand on a ten or hit and get a 16 like it is pretty obvious that I will just hit even if i didn't have the hall pass. So I suggest making the hall pass see 3 cards in the future and the high pristess to see everything in the future until the last card cause i don't think someone can remember everthing that will come or just make it see 10 in the future or something like that, cause the sun card is just a way superior version of the hall pass or the high priestess.
-The last thing i will suggest is to balance the prices cause in the first floor there are a lot of places where you can use chips but there aren't so many chips to get  and in the second floor you get a lot of chips but there aren't that many ways of using those chips.

So those are my suggestions to the game.
Thank you for the amazing game and I am excited to see the game when it comes out.

Good day! It appears that your game has a bug. :(


If you lock a pi card (at least of spades, and maybe also the 1/2s), and the conditions for the card activate, it'll permanently stay at 4. Unless you activate it again, where it switches to 5. And then 6, and so on.

That is, unless my math is wrong, and 3+1=21.

This is not a bug, it is merely a consequence of the text of the pi and half cards.

The resetting to 3 or 0 is an on-play effect, while increasing is an on-stand effect. If you lock the card, then the on-play effect doesn't activate, so the card stops resetting.

My bad, I thought it said increase to 4. Thanks for catching my error!

THE FUNNIEST THING IS WHEN YOU MANAGE TO KILL YOURSELF BY ACCIDENT BY MAKING YOUR NUMBER NEGATIVE VS A BUSTED HAND. I was trying to exploit Alucard's healing for a chip farm :P

(Alucard has a Scratch for a reason)

you should make it so that the opponent does not play cards from their hands if it would bust them. think about giving the opponent booster pack.

The randomness with a good advantage gaining token allowed me to somehow pull it off. 

What a magnificent little game you've made this is amazing

Fun game.  Oddly addicting and with some funny moments.  Looking forward to the full version.

115% of probability of sofa sleeper waking up after three successfully given cards looks like serious threat)

And my most epic hit - 192 dmg by devil * (22 from card value + 10 from Jack of all trades). Even thought about theoretical maximum damage, but looks like it is almost unlimited due to the possibility of huge negative values of cards by multiple apply of break limits card over and Chariot/Strength that could stop the enemy far before limit

Just go with hearts and 3.4/0.5 value cards - those are OP.

i’ve been recommending this game to everyone, but now i’ve been recommending even more since balatro came out and my friends are looking for similar games. i’ve beaten the d&dg demo so many times and now i’m hooked on balatro and i’m pretty sure i’ve made at least 20 people excited to grab this when it comes out. thank you for making this game! it is so fun

also you should include a hanafuda card for no reason. i just think they look nice (the deer card is beautiful)

Could do with a Poetry Ribbon for sure, and maybe Rain Man since that would be a reference-within-a-reference.  Maybe rain man adds 3 poetry ribbons, 3 plain ribbons, or 3 blue ribbons to your deck, all of which have value ?3? and are Hearts, Diamonds, and Spades respectively.  Then the ribbons say if you have three ribbons in play after playing one you can choose to force you and your opponent to stand immediately or not do that (but hopefully as an on-play effect, not as an on-click effect, so it better reflects calling koi-koi). Maybe they should be value 5 and give blackjack on Akatan/Aotan idk.  Something like that would definitely be fun.

On Play: Choose to add a Poetry Ribbon or a Blue Ribbon to your draw, play, and discard piles, then burn this card.


Ribbon (7):

On Play: If you have two ribbons of the same type already in play, move all other cards in play to owner's discard pile. You and opponent are each forced to stand, and your bust limit is set to 21.

It's not bad, but I think the ribbons should be worth less, since they aren't doing anything useful mechanically and bigger numbers are worse. I got 3 because it's smaller than 5 but a factor of 21-- which is I assume how you got 7-- and 3 and 7 are equally close to 5 (the value of the card in most hanafuda games that care about card values) so that's a wash I think.  Also I don't think Rain Man needs to burn on discard-- adding more ribbons isn't too OP I think, especially if the kind that's added is random. And if they are 7s its actively bad for you.

Also yours would make you bust if you have any locked non-0 card, which might be a little problematic.

I said "move to owner's discard pile" as a way to circumvent locked cards without complicated phrasing, because my post is long enough already. This would also use the interaction where locked cards that are moved somewhere other than the play pile remain locked.

If the ribbons were worth 2 instead of 3, then to create a blackjack with 3 ribbons each one could gain 5 value and then reset later. (In addition to being the value of the cards, 5 is also the value of the Akatan / Aotan combo.) I was actually thinking the different types of ribbons could have different functions. Poetry Ribbon could be another all-suits-at-once card, while Blue Ribbon could be spades or nothings and have an additional blackjack effect.

Possible bug: If the value of a locked ace is increased by The Victim card, it won't reset to 1 or 11 until the next time your bust limit is exceeded

it's not a bug (I think) any card that increases it's value if you are under the bust limit will keep the increased value and continue increasing if it is locked. it's just as it says on the card!

it's true that the 0.5 and pi cards increase their value on stand but the ace's effect is "while in play, value is 11 unless bust limit exceeded, then value changes to 1" so the value not resetting to 11 seems like a bug to me
