The world-building is impressive, with plenty of depth in both the characters and environments. The game does a great job of blending strategic decision-making with engaging storytelling, which makes every choice feel impactful.

can you please add a hard mode with like 3x hp on enemies? when I get a good run it just kills them way too quickly, I want to be able to do things that take a bit of setup.
It is so good. Makes you feel like a clever trickster when you hit and win. Funny thing happened when I was willing to take some damage when facing the bouncer with his 21 card. I accidentally hit again, getting a "Four Mana Seven Seven" that made the bouncer go over and I was able to inflict damage onto him.
I found the best way to beat the bouncer is to lock a card on his side (with a number over 2), I did this with a foil Charizard by selling it and putting it in his deck, and since he stands on 17, he will bust EVERY SINGLE TIME.
this is because he only has two 10s and a foil 21 in his deck, ITS SO EASY DOING IT THIS WAY

I myself think the game isn't good. The gameplay just didn't hook me. Just because a game got nominated for GOTY, that doesn't mean it's objectively good.

When I try to play from Firefox on desktop I get a firefox-UI popup saying:

If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension).
and the game window just says

I've tried allowing cookies from itch.zone through uMatrix, which was the only thing it was blocking besides googletagmanager, but that didn't fix it even on a hard reload.
The developer has made the AI decks himself based on synergies and/or themes. The Witch plays only big cards with 13 power and tries to shuffle them into your deck, which not only puts you at a disadvantage but also fits the theme of a witch (13 is an evil number). Alucard uses a hearts deck with a Blood Donor Card that heals him when he plays hearts cards, which also fits because he's gaining health by draining power from his cards like a vampire.

Nice game. I like how the end score causes damage to your opponent, gives a nice spin on hit or stand.

You can only get negative cards that match a suit in your deck.

Are you meant to lose to the bouncer? He had a foil 21 and I'm unsure how that was winable.
